  1. Sorry about the post, I was having a bad day. But my point remains the same. The 
  2. facts speak for themselves and just because they may not agree with your 
  3. particular point of view, don't tell me I don't know what I am talking about. 
  4. Hey, I have been an Amiga user since 1987 and was quite devoted to that machine 
  5. but since I work at AT&T I have to use a PC. I also use a Mac at home. I guess I 
  6. am an equal rights computer user.

  8. I don't have a particular bias against one machine but I don't like people 
  9. hitting each other over the head with this stupid chip envy thing. The '060 will 
  10. never be as cheap as the pentium because the only computer manufacturers to use 
  11. it will be in the Amiga and Atari camp. The installed user base of those 
  12. machines is quite small compared to Pentiums machines. The '060 looks to be 
  13. relgated to controller chip purgatory. As far as the 680x0 and the 80x86 line... 
  14. They are relatively the same age technology. Intel is plugging ahead with the 
  15. 80x86 line while Motorola is concentrating on the PowerPC line of chips. That is 
  16. where their cash is.
