- Sorry about the post, I was having a bad day. But my point remains the same. The
- facts speak for themselves and just because they may not agree with your
- particular point of view, don't tell me I don't know what I am talking about.
- Hey, I have been an Amiga user since 1987 and was quite devoted to that machine
- but since I work at AT&T I have to use a PC. I also use a Mac at home. I guess I
- am an equal rights computer user.
-
- I don't have a particular bias against one machine but I don't like people
- hitting each other over the head with this stupid chip envy thing. The '060 will
- never be as cheap as the pentium because the only computer manufacturers to use
- it will be in the Amiga and Atari camp. The installed user base of those
- machines is quite small compared to Pentiums machines. The '060 looks to be
- relgated to controller chip purgatory. As far as the 680x0 and the 80x86 line...
- They are relatively the same age technology. Intel is plugging ahead with the
- 80x86 line while Motorola is concentrating on the PowerPC line of chips. That is
- where their cash is.
